Why the price varies so much

Three factors drive the daily rate:

1. Model and year

A new Urus S costs more to rent than a 2021 Huracán EVO — the depreciation curve on these cars is brutal in their first 18 months, and rental rates track it closely. Tuned variants (Mansory, Brabus) sit at the very top because the build numbers are tiny.

2. Season

Dubai's high season runs from November to March. Rates can climb 20-30% during F1 weekend (early December), Christmas / New Year, and the Dubai Shopping Festival. Summer (June-August) is the cheapest time to rent — if you can handle 45°C cabin temperature on day one.

3. Length of rental

Weekly rates are typically 30-40% cheaper per day than daily rates. Monthly even more. If you're staying more than 4 days, ask for a weekly quote rather than booking day by day.

Hidden costs to know about

Security deposit

Standard practice in Dubai is a refundable security deposit of 5,000 to 15,000 AED on the credit card, depending on the model. It's released after the rental closes, minus any Salik tolls, fines or damage.

Mileage cap

Default is 250 km/day. Going above costs 25 AED per extra kilometre, calculated when the contract closes. For most weekend trips inside Dubai you'll never come close to the cap. For a round-trip to Abu Dhabi (~300 km) plan accordingly.

Delivery fees

Most Dubai-based companies (us included) deliver anywhere in Dubai for free — hotel, residence, or airport. Out-of-Dubai delivery (Abu Dhabi, RAK, Fujairah) is charged separately, usually around 250-400 AED one-way.

Fuel

Dubai super-95 is around 3.10 AED/litre. A V10 Huracán burns through a tank in about 250 km of mixed driving. Most rentals are full-to-full: you receive the car full and return it full.

Salik (toll roads)

Each Salik gate is 4 AED. The Sheikh Zayed Road has multiple gates, so a Marina-to-DIFC round trip can rack up 20-30 AED in tolls. These are billed at contract close.

Traffic fines

Dubai uses automatic speed cameras everywhere. Fines start at 300 AED and go up to 3,000+ AED for serious offences, plus a 50 AED admin fee per fine from the rental company. Easy advice: stay under 120 km/h on Sheikh Zayed Road, watch the school zones in Jumeirah.

Total cost, real-world example

A 3-day weekend with a Lamborghini Urus in Dubai, late January 2026:

  • Rental (3 × 1,840): 5,520 AED
  • Salik (~10 tolls): 40 AED
  • Fuel (~600 km): 350 AED
  • Optional GPS tracker insurance: 0 (included)
  • Deposit: 0 (no-deposit option)

Total out-of-pocket: ~5,910 AED for the weekend.

How to get a better price

Three quick tips:

Book direct. Aggregators add 15-25% commission. Going straight to the rental company — via WhatsApp, email, or website — almost always beats the platform price.

Bundle. Renting two cars for two weeks gets you a much better rate than two separate weeklies.

Avoid F1 weekend if you can. Rates double for that one weekend.
