Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the rental of any vehicle ("Vehicle") provided by Luxilo Car Rental LLC ("Luxilo", "Lessor", "we", "us") to any client ("Renter", "you"). By signing a rental agreement with Luxilo, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms in full. The signed rental agreement, together with these Terms, forms an integral part of the contractual relationship between the parties.

1. Eligibility & driver requirements

To rent a Vehicle from Luxilo, the Renter and any additional driver must:

• Be at least 20 years old.
• Hold a valid driving licence: a UAE driving licence for residents, or a valid home country licence accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP) for tourists.
• Present a valid passport or Emirates ID and (for tourists) a valid UAE entry stamp or visa.
• Provide a valid credit card in the Renter's name.

Insurance cover for younger drivers: Renters aged 20 to 25 years old will be covered at 90% only by the insurance policy. The remaining 10% of any claim is borne by the Renter.

Only the Renter and any Additional Driver registered in the rental agreement at pick-up are authorised to drive the Vehicle. Sub-renting is strictly prohibited.

Luxilo reserves the right to refuse any rental at its sole discretion if the eligibility conditions are not met.

2. Reservation, payment & security

Reservations may be made via our website, WhatsApp, phone or email. A reservation becomes binding upon written confirmation by Luxilo and receipt of any required pre-payment.

Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, credit card and approved digital payment services.

The Renter authorises Luxilo in advance to debit any rental-related charges (rental fees, traffic fines, Salik, fuel, damages, late return, etc.) from the credit or charge card on file.

Security — two options:

• Standard security deposit: a refundable amount, depending on the Vehicle category, is held on the Renter's credit card or paid by bank transfer. It is released after the rental is closed and any pending charges are settled.
• No-deposit option via Blacklist: for eligible Renters, a no-deposit alternative is available, operated through Blacklist, our trusted partner. Eligibility is confirmed at booking.

3. Rental period & vehicle delivery

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). The rental period begins at the time of pick-up and ends at the agreed return time as stated in the rental agreement.

A grace period of one (1) hour is granted at return. Beyond this, an additional full-day rate will be charged. If the Renter fails to return the Vehicle on time, the rental agreement is automatically renewed for a similar period at Luxilo's sole discretion, and the corresponding charges are debited from the credit card on file.

Pick-up and drop-off may take place at our office or at a location of your choice within Dubai (delivery fees may apply). Collection or delivery outside Dubai is charged at 800 AED.

4. Mileage allowance

All rentals include the following mileage allowances:

• Daily contract: 250 km per day
• Weekly contract: 1,400 km per week
• Monthly contract: 4,500 km per month

Excess mileage is charged at 25 AED per kilometre. Excess kilometres are calculated and notified to the Renter at the closing of the contract.

5. Insurance & liability

All Vehicles are insured under a comprehensive UAE motor insurance policy covering third-party liability, applicable on paved roads within the UAE only. The insurance does not cover off-road, desert, mountain, flooded, sea-beach or rough-terrain driving, nor any use outside the territory of the UAE.

Excess on accidents caused by the Renter: a minimum excess of 5,000 AED applies. Higher excess may apply for ultra-luxury and supercar categories — the exact amount is stated in the rental agreement at signature.

The following items are never covered by insurance and remain entirely at the Renter's charge:

• Windshields (front, rear and side windows)
• Tyres, wheels (alloy or steel) and wheel caps
• Battery, tools and interior upholstery
• Damage caused by contaminated fuel, water/flooding, sea, sand or rough terrain
• Damage caused under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance impairing judgment
• Damage caused by an unauthorised driver
• Damage caused by illegal or irresponsible parking, where the insurance company refuses the claim

In the event of any accident, the Renter must immediately notify the Dubai Police, obtain an official police report, and inform Luxilo as soon as possible. No insurance claim can be processed without a police report; in its absence, the Renter is liable for the full repair or replacement cost.

The Renter shall not admit any responsibility to any third party at the scene of an accident. Any unauthorised repair or modification carried out without prior written approval from Luxilo will not be reimbursed.

If an accident is caused by the Renter, no replacement Vehicle will be provided until the end of the pre-paid rental period. If the accident is caused by a third party, Luxilo may provide a replacement Vehicle until the end of the pre-paid rental period, subject to availability.

6. Permitted use of the Vehicle

The Vehicle shall be used only for lawful private use within the territory of the United Arab Emirates. The Renter undertakes not to:

• Sub-let, sell, pledge or transfer the Vehicle to any third party.
• Use the Vehicle for racing, rallies, off-road driving, towing, transport of persons or property for hire, or any commercial transport service (taxi, ride-hailing, delivery).
• Drive under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any substance impairing judgment.
• Allow any unauthorised person to drive the Vehicle.
• Take the Vehicle outside the UAE under any circumstance — the insurance does not cover any incident outside UAE territory.
• Tint the Vehicle glass or apply stickers to the body or glass.
• Smoke inside the Vehicle. Vehicles returned with smoke or any unacceptable odour will undergo steam cleaning, and a service fee of 1,000 AED will be charged.

Any breach of this clause may lead to immediate termination of the rental, forfeiture of the security or activation of the Blacklist guarantee, and additional charges, without prejudice to any further claim by Luxilo.

7. Traffic fines, Salik & tolls

The Renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations, fines, parking penalties and Salik (toll) charges incurred during the rental period.

Salik: 5 AED per gate crossing. Traffic fines and penalties: debited from the Renter's credit card. Fines may be registered late by the authorities; Luxilo reserves the right to debit any fine notified after the rental period ends.

8. Fuel policy

The Vehicle is delivered with a recorded fuel level and must be returned with the same level. If the Vehicle is returned with less fuel, the Renter will be charged the cost of refuelling plus a service fee, automatically debited from the credit card on file.

9. Maintenance & breakdown

The Renter undertakes to operate the Vehicle with reasonable care, to respect manufacturer recommendations and to immediately report any warning light, mechanical issue or unusual behaviour to Luxilo.

For long rentals, the Vehicle should be serviced according to the service tag on the windscreen. The Renter must inform Luxilo when the service mileage is reached. Failure to do so makes the Renter liable for any damage caused by the lack of servicing, plus the rental amount during repairs.

In case of breakdown, do not attempt repairs yourself or take the Vehicle to a garage without prior written approval. Contact Luxilo immediately on +971 58 286 0119. Any unauthorised repair will not be reimbursed.

10. Early return & vehicle exchange

If the Vehicle is returned before the end of the rental, the appropriate rate for the shorter rental period will be charged. If a credit balance remains, a credit note will be issued for use against future rentals — no cash refund is provided.

The Vehicle may need to be exchanged during the rental if it is due for service, repair or sale. In such case, the Renter shall deliver the Vehicle back upon Luxilo's request; the return of the same Vehicle is not guaranteed.

Luxilo is not responsible for any belongings or valuables left in the Vehicle at the time of return or exchange.

11. Force majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations under the rental agreement when such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government acts, pandemics or any other event of force majeure as defined under UAE law.

12. Personal data

Personal data collected for the purposes of the rental agreement is processed in accordance with applicable UAE data protection regulations and our Privacy Policy. The Renter authorises Luxilo to communicate personal data to relevant authorities (Dubai Police, RTA, Traffic Department, Criminal Investigation Department) when required by law or in connection with the rental.

13. Indemnity

Save for fraud and gross negligence, Luxilo shall not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred to or suffered by the Renter or any third party in connection with the rented Vehicle. The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold Luxilo (and its affiliates, employees and agents) harmless from and against all damages, losses, costs, expenses, actions, claims and demands arising from or connected with the Renter's breach of obligations under this Agreement or with their driving of the Vehicle.

14. Amendments

Luxilo reserves the right to amend these Terms and its rates at any time without prior notice. The version applicable to a given rental is the one in force on the date of signature of the rental agreement.

15. Language & interpretation

These Terms are drafted in English and may be translated into other languages. In the event of conflict between different language versions, the English text shall prevail.

16. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any rental agreement entered into between Luxilo and the Renter are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai.
